About CORE
CORE is an open source network emulation tool for experimenting with virtual networks. The Python framework and GUI use Linux containers (network namespaces), Xen, or FreeBSD jails to build live-running networks, on one or multiple computers. CORE is integrated with the EMANE emulator and ns-3 simulator. See also the CORE website or the CORE supplemental page.
